North Carolina’s school board has agreed to distribute about $800,000 to 19 rural public school districts to teach abstinence-only sex education. The federal money is available to the state under a little-known provision of the Affordable Care Act, which extends through 2014 funding.

A new dialogue on sex education has started with the British Government at the very highest level. On Saturday, the Prime Minister backed comprehensive sex education said sex and relationship lessons should “reflect the problems of the internet”.
