Anti-choice legislators in Missouri have for the third time approved a bill that would interfere with women’s access to medical services by allowing medical practitioners to refuse to provide any medical service based on their personal beliefs.

It’s wrong to have an abortion because the fetus isn’t the desired gender, South Dakota lawmakers and activists on both sides of a controversial bill agreed Wednesday. Where they disagreed is whether there should be a law against sex-selective abortions, considering this is not a real issue in the U.S., and the ban is largely unenforceable.
