The Georgia State Senate passed an anti-choice bill Monday that would ban certain insurance plans from covering abortion care, with no exceptions for rape or incest and only a narrow health exception.

A West Virginia Senate Committee has advanced an anti-choice bill to prohibit abortions after 20 weeks although the bill was amended to lower violations by those who have or perform an abortion after 20 weeks from a felony with possible jail time to a misdemeanor.
Alaska has the highest rate of sexual violence in the country at three times the national average. Comprehensive sex education programs that teach kids about healthy relationships have been proven effective in reducing such violence but Alaska doesn’t require sex education. State legislators are trying to change this.
