2014 Midterm Election Update

We’re wrapping up our reporting for tonight. We are still waiting for returns for a number of our endorsed candidates but are excited to report the following pro-choice Republican victories and defeated anti-choice ballot measures:
For the Senate:
Senator Susan Collins (ME)
Senator-elect Shelley Moore Capito (WV)

In the House:
Congressman Charlie Dent (PA-15)
Former Congressman Robert Dold (IL-10)
Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11)
Congressman Richard Hanna (NY-22)

Gubernatorial Candidates:
Charlie Baker (MA)
Bruce Rauner (IL)

Anti-Choice Ballot Measures Defeated:
Colorado Personhood Amendment 67
North Dakota Personhood Measure 1

At the time of writing the balance of the Senate is 52 R – 45 D – with a new Republican Senate Majority. We are still waiting on results for House and Senate races – and will be back with additional updates first thing tomorrow!
