A D.C. law banning businesses from discriminating against workers based on their personal reproductive health decisions took effect over the weekend, despite attempts by anti-choice members of the U.S. House of Representatives to block the measure.

Tuscon Sentinel (Tuscon, AZ)
Advocates in Arizona are fighting for better sex-education programs in schools. A state legislator introduced a bill during the recent legislative session that would change the system form opt-in to opt-out, saying it would allow more students to receive sex education. The bill wasn’t heard in committee.
