The Center for Reproductive Rights is challenging Kansas’ first-in-the-nation ban on a commonly used and safe early abortion procedure. The ban is set to take effect in July.

Anti-choice lawmakers in North Carolina Legislature appear comfortable extending the medically unnecessary waiting periods for an abortion and making additional administrative requirements on physicians who work in reproductive health clinics that offer abortions. No other clinics are targeted for extraneous regulation like family planning clinics that offer these services.
