A federal judge blocked an anti-choice regulation that would have shut down the busiest family planning clinic in Alabama. The restriction, involving admitting privileges of physicians, was deemed unnecessary to protect a woman’s health by the judge and would prevent women from receiving the care they needed.

A temporary injunction has been placed on a new Tennessee anti-choice law that would set new safety standards for clinics and require at least two Tennessee clinics to be shut down.
