Buffalo, New York’s highest risk county for unintended teenage pregnancy has been awarded a $10 million federal grant over five years. The fund will be spent enabling education, shelter, and health providers to reach 15,000 teens in the county every year with proven effective programs for this age group at reducing teenage pregnancy.
New research has found that hormonal contraception is not only safe for HIV-positive women, but it can also reduce mortality risk.

House Speaker Paul Ryan has not ruled out a policy rider to defund Planned Parenthood. He has, however, made clear that he makes no commitment to defunding the organization despite his own opposition to it.
